This article explores the rational and irrationality behind American views on climate change, as well as giving suggestions of ways that environmentalists can change (such as using climate change instead of global warming) to help stop the unconscious opposition among many Americans.

    Interesting article. It’s amazing that denial is still such a big issue, but it seems as if it will always be one for as long as humans interact with one another.

    I thought along the same lines. I constantly heard the phrase “global warming” growing up and it just made me think of the rise in temperature around the world. Climate change is a more accurate term that would encompass not only these temperature changes, but sea level rise, ice melting, more precipitation, etc.

    a recent study by researchers at the University of Michigan found that Republicans are less skeptical of “climate change” than “global warming,” possibly because climate change sounds less specific.
