Fewer Polar Bear Births tied to Melting Arctic Ice

In response to Alli’s post, here’s another article referencing the melting arctic ice. What will happen if there are no polar bears? Do you think that their extinction will make the international community agree that climate change does exist, particularly global warming trends?   Click here for the article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41475129/ns/us_news-environment/

One of the issues I find to be fascinating concerning climate change is the effect on animals. Polar bears are usually the main focus in this discussion and it is sad to read an article such as this one and to think about the possible future of this animal population. Climate change will definitely have a profound effect on these creatures, since the article clearly stated that less ice=less polar bear cubs.

To answer your question, I do believe that if the polar bears became extinct, more attention would emerge on this issue and people will see the effects of climate change.
